Overview
Provide technical guidance and coordination support to strengthen the design, harmonization, implementation, and monitoring of nutrition-focused Social and Behaviour Change (SBC) programming across implementing partners in Myanmar.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive mapping of ongoing nutrition SBC interventions.
- Review strategies, guidelines and existing IEC/SBC materials.
- Identify behavioural determinants and implementation gaps.
- Provide recommendations for harmonization and scale-up.
- Develop or update Nutrition SBC Framework aligned with nutritional priorities.
- Define priority behaviours and audience segmentation.
- Review/develop a national key message matrix and standard SBC package.
- Ensure alignment with global nutrition guidance and humanitarian standards.
- Review and update existing SBC training modules and facilitator guides.
- Conduct Training of Trainers (ToT) sessions for nutrition implementing partners.
- Provide continuous mentoring and technical backstopping for frontline nutrition workers.
- Support integration of SBC into nutrition service delivery platforms.
- Develop SBC indicators aligned with UNICEF and national M&E frameworks.
- Strengthen data collection tools to track behavioural outcomes.
- Document best practices and lessons learned.
- Prepare periodic progress reports and knowledge products.
- Support Nutrition Cluster / Technical Working Group meetings.
- Plan, coordinate, implement and monitor nutrition-related campaigns and events in coordination with partners and clusters
- Facilitate coordination between nutrition implementing partners.
- Contribute to donor reporting and programme reviews.
Required Experience
Minimum 7 years of professional experience in designing and implementing Social and Behavior Change (SBC) programmes, preferably in maternal, newborn, and child health or nutrition. Experience in formative research, behavioural analysis, audience segmentation, and development of SBC strategies and communication materials.
Qualifications
University degree in Public Health, Nutrition, Social and Behavioural Sciences, Health Communication, Anthropology, or a related field.
