Overview

The Caseworker will provide strengths-based, client-centered case management to refugees, asylees, and other eligible individuals to remove barriers to safety and wellness.


Key Responsibilities
  • Determine client eligibility for case management programming and conduct intake assessments.
  • Develop individualized plans for each client.
  • Support newly arrived refugee families in case management services.
  • Assist clients in healthcare navigation and case management services.
  • Record services and evaluate client progress.
  • Conduct community outreach and maintain a network of service providers.
  • Provide clients with extended orientation on various topics.
  • Respond to client crises.
  • Assist clients with requesting financial assistance and track received assistance.
  • Maintain up-to-date documentation in client’s case file and in IRC’s database.
  • Attend relevant trainings and meetings.
  • May train and lead the activities of volunteers and interns.
  • Promote and actively participate in initiatives to build team engagement, inclusion, and cohesion.
Required Experience

Minimum of 1-2 years in case management, customer service, or people engagement role required. Working in previous roles with youth, preferred.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in social work, public health, or related field of study preferred.

Languages Required
Fluent in English required, both spoken and written.
Languages Preferred
Proficiency in Pashto, Dari, Arabic, Swahili, Spanish is preferred.
Contract Duration
This position is expected to end on November 9, 2026.
Work Modality
A combination of standard office environment, remote work, and ‘field’ time within the service delivery area. Virtual services to individuals in Lewis & Clark and Flathead Counties. May require occasional weekend and/or evening work.
Remuneration
Pay Rate: $23.50-$24/hr.
