Overview
The Business Analyst leads on requirements gathering, designs, and supports the development of the UNITE solution, serving as a bridge between business stakeholders, DID, and the vendor.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate with OPS and MRM units and technical teams on the full software development lifecycle.
- Grasp the complex interactions of the UNITE solution with other UNICEF systems.
- Elicit, analyze, document, and validate business and technical requirements.
- Translate business needs into functional and technical specifications.
- Apply AI in digital product development and programme planning, monitoring, and reporting.
- Review enterprise systems, system architectures, integrations, data flow, and interfaces.
- Execute SDLC phases, including design review, testing coordination, UAT support, defect tracking, and post-deployment support.
- Work on an agile project, executing sprints using a kanban board or similar tool.
Required Experience
- A minimum of 5 years of responsible professional experience in business analysis or digital product/project management is required.
- Country-level experience with Programme planning, monitoring, and reporting, including use of corporate PMR systems such as RAM, CRAVE, etc.
- Experience to elicit, analyze, document and validate business and technical requirements; translate business needs into functional and technical specifications.
- Solid experience in applying AI in both digital product development and programme planning, monitoring and reporting.
- Firm understanding of enterprise systems, system architectures, integrations, data flow and interfaces.
- Practical experience across SDLC phases, including design review, testing coordination, UAT support, defect tracking and post-deployment support.
- Experience in working on an agile project including executing sprints using a kanban Board or similar tool.
- Knowledge of UNICEF country programme cycle processes is essential.
- Relevant experience at country level, particularly in development, fragile settings and humanitarian contexts.
Qualifications
An advanced university degree (Master's or higher) in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, public administration or similar fields is required.
