Provides programme support to the effective management of UN Women programmes in the Country Office by contributing to programme design, formulation, implementation, and evaluation. Supports the delivery of UN Women programmes by analyzing results achieved during implementation and supporting appropriate application of systems and procedures.
At least 1 year of relevant work experience in development of programme/project implementation, coordination, monitoring and evaluation, donor reporting and capacity building in the field of gender equality and women’s empowerment is required. Experience in gender responsive planning and budgeting is highly desirable. Experience in training, learning, and capacity development methodologies is desirable. Experience in coordinating and liaising with government agencies, civil society organizations and/or donors is desirable. Previous experience working with international organizations including the United Nations System is desirable.
Master’s degree or equivalent in social sciences, human rights, gender/ women’s studies, international development, or a related field is required. A first-level university degree in combination with two additional years of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree. A project/programme management certification (such as PMP®, PRINCE2®, or MSP®) would be an added advantage.
