Overview

The Risk Manager will lead the strengthening of risk assurance and compliance efforts within the Venezuela country office, providing expertise and monitoring related to risk management practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the strengthening of risk assurance and compliance efforts.
• Provide complementary expertise, support, and monitoring related to risk management.
• Develop, implement, and continuously improve risk management practices at a process, systems, and entity level.
• Provide risk management support.
• Provide compliance support.
• Provide fraud risk management support.
• Provide oversight and advisory to the Management.
• Create awareness and capacity building.
• Provide context-specific risk assurance and advisory support.

Required Experience

At least 8 years of continuous professional work experience in Risk and Compliance or another directly relevant area, several of which in internal audit is required. Experience in financial management, particularly developing and implementing financial control systems, ERM, audits, internal control preferably with international organizations, NGOs and UN.

Qualifications

A completed Advanced Degree (Master or higher) in Business Administration and Financial Management. A Bachelor or equivalent (First Level University Degree) in a relevant area combined with 2 additional years of relevant work experience may be accepted in lieu of an advanced university degree.
