Overview

Facilitate a two-day regional meeting and provide substantive expertise on gender equality, women's rights, personal status laws, and family law reform across the Arab States region.

Key Responsibilities

• Review background materials and agenda;
• Facilitate all sessions and discussions;
• Guide dialogue on gender equality, personal status laws and family law reform;
• Moderate plenaries and breakout groups;
• Prepare a summary report with recommendations.

Required Experience

At least 2 years of professional international/national experience on gender equality, women's rights and legal reform and/or related fields are required; Experience in facilitating high-level regional consultations is required; Demonstrated expertise in personal status and family laws across the Arab States region is required; Academic, research or legal scholarship experience is desirable.

Qualifications

Master’s degree in the fields of Law, Gender Studies, Human Rights, Political Science and/or related fields is required; A first-level university degree in combination with two additional years of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.
