Overview
The Programme Officer (Partnerships) role supports the development, implementation, and evaluation of programmes and projects, focusing on women's economic empowerment and inclusive trade.
Key Responsibilities
- Participates in programme/project development, implementation, and evaluation; monitors and analyzes progress; reviews documents; identifies and proposes solutions to problems; liaises with parties; tracks follow-up actions.
- Performs consulting assignments by planning and facilitating workshops and interactive sessions, assisting in action plan development.
- Researches, analyzes, and presents information from diverse sources.
- Assists in policy development, including review and analysis of issues and trends, and preparation of evaluations or studies.
- Undertakes survey initiatives, designs data collection tools, reviews and analyzes responses, identifies problems, and prepares conclusions.
- Prepares written outputs such as draft background papers, analysis, report sections, and inputs to publications.
- Provides substantive support to meetings and conferences, including agenda topics, participant identification, and document preparation.
- Undertakes outreach activities, conducts training workshops, and makes presentations.
- Participates in or leads field missions, providing guidance and drafting mission summaries.
- Coordinates budget and funding activities, including programme/project preparation, progress reports, and financial statements.
Required Experience
A minimum of five years of relevant experience in project or programme management, administration or related area is required. Experience developing complex partnerships with the private sector is desirable. Experience working in the area of women’s economic empowerment is desirable. Experience in developing and/or implementing women and trade projects is desirable.
Qualifications
Advanced university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) in business administration, management, economics, international law, international affairs, or a related field. A first-level university degree in the areas mentioned above in combination with an additional two years of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.
