Overview
The consultant will support digital communication and content development for UNICEF’s “Child Rights, Safety and Inclusion in the Digital Environment” agenda, as well as rapid-response emergency and evergreen content priorities on unicef.org.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop a defined package of digital editorial products supporting Phase I of UNICEF’s “Child Rights, Safety and Inclusion in the Digital Environment” advocacy and communication agenda and a package of emergency and evergreen content initiatives.
- Research, write, edit, structure and optimize publication-ready web content in collaboration with DGCA focal points, programme and research specialists, advocacy and communication colleagues.
- Produce all content in accordance with UNICEF editorial standards and digital best-practices.
- Incorporate Search Engine Optimization (SEO), Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) and Answer Engine Optimization (AEO) approaches to strengthen visibility, discoverability and audience engagement.
Required Experience
- Minimum five years of progressively responsible professional experience in digital and editorial communications, content strategy, journalism, or a related field.
- Experience supporting communication products during humanitarian emergencies and/or working in fast-paced news or crisis communication environments is an asset.
Qualifications
Master's degree in Communications, Journalism, Digital Communications, International Relations, Development Studies, Public Affairs, Marketing, or a related field.
