Overview
Support the implementation of communication and visibility activities across DRC programmes in Ukraine.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and produce communication materials, including social media content, human interest stories, interviews, multimedia materials and publications.
- Prepare and manage the quarterly DRC Ukraine newsletter.
- Ensure regular updates of DRC Ukraine digital platforms.
- Support implementation of project communication and visibility plans.
- Coordinate external communication service providers.
- Develop technical specifications for the production of communication and visibility materials.
- Maintain and update a structured archive of photos, videos and other visibility materials.
- Support media engagement and preparation of DRC staff members for interviews.
- Support organisation of internal and external events and contribute to strengthening the capacity of field teams on communication tools and visibility requirements.
Required Experience
At least 2 years of professional experience in communications, media, public relations or advocacy. At least 1 year of experience working in an INGO or civil society organisation in a communications-related role. Experience developing communication materials including social media content, human interest stories, interviews and articles. Experience preparing Terms of Reference (ToR) and technical assignments for communication service providers. Experience ensuring compliance with donor communication and visibility requirements, particularly those of institutional donors such as the European Union, Danish MFA, SDC, SIDA, GFFO or similar donors.
Qualifications
Master’s degree in communications, journalism, public relations, advocacy or a related field.
