Overview

Support UNODET's efforts to enhance visibility and engagement through multimedia storytelling and video production, focusing on videography and short-form digital media.


Key Responsibilities
  • Capture compelling video content in dynamic environments, including global conferences, high-level United Nations engagements, and events.
  • Film behind-the-scenes moments and key activities to support storytelling around UNODET’s initiatives and partnerships.
  • Edit short-form, social-first video content for platforms such as LinkedIn, YouTube, Bluesky and X using tools such as Adobe Premier Pro or similar editing software.
  • Support the communications team in producing engaging multimedia content, highlighting UNODET’s work on digital cooperation and emerging technologies.
  • Assist in recording video and audio using professional cameras or mobile production equipment.
  • Organize and manage video footage and media assets while ensuring strong attention to detail and file management.
Required Experience

No working experience is required to apply for the United Nations Internship Programme.

Qualifications
  • Applicants must meet one of the following requirements:
  • - Be enrolled in a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher);
  • - Be enrolled in the FINAL academic year of a university degree programme (minimum Bachelor's level or equivalent);
  • or
  • - Have graduated with a university degree as defined in (1) and (2).
  • Preferably in the area of Film Production, Media Studies, Communications, Digital Media, Journalism, Marketing, Graphic Design, Multimedia Production, Visual Arts, or related fields.

Languages Required
Fluency in English is required.
Languages Preferred
Knowledge of another official United Nations language is an advantage.
Contract Duration
3 months with a possibility of extension to 6 months.

Remuneration
Interns are not financially remunerated by the United Nations. Costs and arrangements for travel, visas, accommodation and living expenses are the responsibility of interns or their sponsoring institutions.
