Overview

Consultant to provide professional typesetting and graphic design for a Repository of Best Practices, ensuring clarity, visual consistency, and adherence to UNODC visual identity standards.


Key Responsibilities
  • Fully typeset and designed Repository of Best Practices (approx. 80 pages), in print-ready PDF (CMYK) and web-optimised PDF (RGB) formats.
  • All source/working files (InDesign package or equivalent open format) for the repository.
  • Final corrected PDF files incorporating the supervising team's consolidated revision comments.
  • A reusable layout template package (InDesign/Illustrator or equivalent) derived from the repository design, for use in future publications.
Required Experience

A minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible professional experience in typesetting, graphic design and layout for publications is required. Demonstrated experience producing print-ready and web-optimised publications is required. Proficiency in professional desktop publishing software (Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop or equivalent) is required. Submission of a portfolio of previous typesetting/design work for reports, handbooks or policy documents is required. Experience designing legal, policy or technical publications (reports, handbooks, toolkits) for international organizations or UN agencies is desirable.

Qualifications

An advanced university degree (Master’s or equivalent) in graphic design, visual communication, publishing, desktop publishing, or a related area is required. A first-level university degree in similar fields in combination with two additional years of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.
