The Assistant Programme Officer will support the substantive and operational coordination of project implementation in Brazil, ensuring alignment with UNODC global mandates and technical guidance from Headquarters.
A minimum of two (2) years of progressively responsible professional work experience in the implementation and coordination of programmes or projects related to crime prevention, criminal justice, rule of law, human rights, child protection, social protection, violence prevention, trafficking in persons, or other related fields is required with a first-level university degree. The minimum years of work experience is reduced to zero (0) for applicants with an advanced university degree.
An advanced university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) in social sciences, law, public policy, international relations, social work, criminology or a related field is required. A first-level university degree in a similar field in combination with two additional years of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.
