Overview

The Project Associate will support the effective planning and implementation of UNDP-GEF projects focused on climate change transparency and reporting for Armenia. The role involves supporting partnerships, monitoring project progress, and contributing to knowledge building.


Key Responsibilities
  • Compile and summarize information and data for project work plans and budgets.
  • Provide support in all aspects of project implementation, ensuring quality of delivery.
  • Ensure compliance of project business processes with UNDP policies and procedures.
  • Support mainstreaming gender equality in project implementation.
  • Provide administrative and logistical support for project delivery.
  • Establish and maintain contacts with relevant UN Agencies, government institutions, NGOs, and other stakeholders.
  • Ensure regular communication and coordination with partners and stakeholders.
  • Support the creation of high-quality information and visibility of project activities.
  • Undertake horizon scanning and explore opportunities for resource mobilization.
  • Support the implementation of the project monitoring system.
  • Collect, analyze, and present information for monitoring and evaluation of project implementation.
  • Assist in the organization of project events and visits.
  • Assist in the implementation of effective risk management for the project.
  • Monitor expenditures and commitments against the project budget.
  • Prepare and consolidate required project reports.
  • Participate in training and organize briefings on internal procedures.
  • Provide support to other capacity building activities.
  • Provide support in the dissemination and sharing of relevant data and lessons learned.
  • Make contributions to knowledge networks and communities of practice.
Required Experience
  • A minimum of 6 years (with secondary education) or 3 years (with bachelor’s degree) of progressively responsible administrative or project experience is required.
  • Experience in the use of computers, office software packages (MS Word, Excel, etc.) and web-based management systems, and advanced knowledge of spreadsheet and database packages.
Qualifications
  • Secondary education is required.
  • University Degree (bachelor´s degree) in Business Administration, Public Administration, Social Sciences, Economics, or equivalent field will be given due consideration, but it is not a requirement.
