Overview
The Senior Finance Associate (Data) will provide specialized finance tasks, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery in compliance with UNICEF financial rules and regulations. The role involves researching, adapting, and evaluating irregular cases to recommend process improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in verifying completeness, accuracy, and posting of all aspects related to HOPE payment plan/HEALTH related requests.
- Update and maintain payment records and monitoring systems.
- Select and enter data from various documents, verifying accuracy and ensuring adherence to internal control procedures.
- Prepare recurring and special reports for budget preparation, audits, or other reasons.
- Help finalize payments in preparation for year-end close, grant expiry, and financial closure.
- Liaise with GSSC and FSPs to address queries and make necessary corrections on transactions.
- Initiate correspondence to verify data and answer queries on the HOPE Platform.
- Maintain liaisons with local bank officials for daily information and prepare bank reconciliations.
- Perform other HEALTH section related transactions/finance duties as required.
Required Experience
At least 7 years of relevant work experience in Financial Management, Accounting, and any other related fields. Relevant experience at country level, particularly in development, fragile settings and humanitarian contexts is desirable.
Qualifications
Secondary Education in any related fields.
