Overview

The Staff Assistant (Graphics Technician) implements photographic and graphics arts programs, operates printing and reproduction services, and designs forms and publications.


Key Responsibilities
  • Implements photographic, graphics arts programs and operates the printing and reproduction services.
  • Designs, co-ordinates and elaborates forms and publications and provides reprographics support to the Command.
  • Controls, manages, stores graphics files.
  • Combines expertise and creativity to develop pictures and decorations in the production of graphics arts.
  • Supports personnel on daily activities related to the graphic creation and software-graphics equipment.
  • Maintains contact with local companies and suppliers of printing.
  • Assesses new products and makes recommendations for purchase of new items, materials, equipment.
  • Undertakes work as part of a project team or working group as directed or assigned.
  • Responsible for distilling complex information into visual presentations i.e. information graphics.
  • To coordinate with NATO Brand Hub as needed to integrate JSEC products into wider NATO communications if needed.
  • To maintain an archive of current and past logos, infographics and other graphic material for use as needed.
  • To submit observations in her/his area of expertise and contribute to the Lessons Learned process.
Required Experience

Proven experience in Graphic design. Expertise in audio-visual techniques, including the ability to apply creative and technical skills across a range of digital and print media. Experience in developing visual content through methods such as graphic reproduction, photography, computer graphics, color reproduction, and the integration of images, text, and design elements. Knowledge of media production processes, including the creation and production of books, magazines, posters, advertisements, digital content, video, film, radio, television, etc. 2 years’ experience.

Qualifications

Secondary education and basic training in specific task-related skills.
