Overview
The Learning Officer will coordinate learning activities led by U-RIL, focusing on knowledge management and supporting the collection, analysis, and dissemination of data and resources. This role contributes to the development of reports, mappings, digital solutions, events, and publications.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and contribute to the planning and implementation of evidence generation and learning activities.
- Support the design of qualitative and quantitative research methodologies, data collection plans, and learning approaches.
- Support the development and quality assurance of data collection tools.
- Ensure research and evidence generation activities adhere to ethical standards.
- Support the design and implementation of a learning log.
- Support periodic reflection sessions, after-action reviews, and learning workshops.
- Coordinate the management, maintenance, and continuous updating of Learning Hub databases.
- Develop and maintain contact databases, stakeholder directories, and knowledge repositories.
- Coordinate evidence collection and documentation activities across both URRI consortia.
- Serve as a focal point for coordinating learning activities with implementing partners, research institutions, government counterparts, UN agencies, private sector actors, and refugee-led organisations.
- Support the planning and delivery of learning events, workshops, webinars, dissemination meetings, and other knowledge-sharing platforms.
- Coordinate administrative and operational support required for the effective functioning of the Learning Hub.
- Prepare procurement requests and coordinate with procurement and operations teams.
- Coordinate the collection, compilation, analysis, and reporting of Learning Hub output and outcome indicators.
- Coordinate the collection and synthesis of partner feedback.
- Ensure that activities are conducted in accordance with organisational quality standards, safeguarding policies, and ethical research principles.
Required Experience
At least 3 years of progressively responsible experience in research, evidence generation, knowledge management, project coordination, monitoring and evaluation, or learning within humanitarian or development programmes. Experience planning and coordinating workshops, learning events, consultations, and dissemination activities.
Qualifications
At least a bachelor’s degree in social sciences, Development studies, Economics, Statistics, Public policy, international development, Monitoring and Evaluation, Research methods, Information management, or another relevant field.
