Coordinate and implement renewable energy and municipal finance projects, focusing on local government units developing solar photovoltaic and battery energy storage systems.
Minimum 7 years (with High School diploma) or 4 years (with bachelor’s degree) of experience in coordinating / managing renewable energy or socioeconomic development projects. Proven experience in dealing with multilateral donors, local governments units, and Private sector is required. Knowledge and understanding of monitoring and evaluation tools is required. Proven experience in dealing with local governments, NGOs, and bilateral and multilateral donors is desirable. Experience in coordinating and managing development projects (financial, risk, human resources, and procurement management) is an asset. Experience in results-based management is an Asset. Experience in the use of computers, office software packages (MS Word, Excel, etc.), project management and web-based management systems, and advanced knowledge of spreadsheet and database packages is an asset. Proven Knowledge of the UN system and familiarity with UNDP procedures is a distinct advantage. Skilled in developing donor and management reports using Power BI, and other visualization tools to present complex technical and financial information in a clear and impactful manner would be an asset.
Secondary Education is required OR; A first-level university degree (bachelor’s degree) in Renewable energy, Business Administration, International development, or a related field will be given due consideration but not a requirement.
