Overview

The Communication and Partnership Officer ensures consistent information and knowledge management to inform stakeholders about UNDP's work, mandate, and impact. The role contributes to organizational transparency and accountability by producing results-focused reports and supporting internal communication flow.


Key Responsibilities
  • Ensures consistent information and knowledge management for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensures reports to donors and headquarters are well presented, results-focused, informative, clear, and concise.
  • Maintains corporate communication tools and produces content for web, social media, and other formats.
  • Manages media relations, responding to enquiries and developing media outreach plans.
  • Initiates and maintains networks with communication focal points and project/programme staff.
  • Drafts reports for donors and headquarters, and prepares presentations.
  • Produces innovative and creative communications content and shares findings.
  • Develops position papers on thematic areas.
  • Uses blog posts and social media to share insights and attract partners.
  • Manages the content of the UNDP website, developing and updating content.
  • Updates country office factsheets.
  • Supports the production of publications and knowledge products.
  • Provides guidance on corporate publications and visibility policies.
  • Contributes content to the intranet and fosters internal information sharing.
  • Establishes and manages a system for translating corporate communication content into Macedonian, Albanian, and other languages as required.
  • Develops and maintains the UNDP events calendar and supports event management.
  • Translates concepts and issues into formats usable by media and the public.
  • Develops and maintains contacts with key media representatives.
  • Proactively reaches out to national and regional media.
  • Identifies media stories, researches, writes, and edits media releases, feature stories, and briefings.
  • Identifies media opportunities in print, radio, and television.
  • Provides internal consultancy and media advice to staff.
  • Monitors media coverage and provides overviews of relevant media discussions.
  • Engages with stakeholders to develop effective content creation and supply methods.
  • Performs other duties as necessary for the efficient functioning of the Office and the Organisation.
Required Experience

Minimum of 2 years (with master’s degree) or 4 years (with bachelor’s degree) of relevant experience at the national or international level in public relations, communications or advocacy.

Qualifications

Advanced University degree (Master´s degree or equivalent) in communications, journalism, social science, economics, development or related field is required. Or A first-level university degree (Bachelor's Degree) in the areas stated above, in combination with additional 2 years of qualifying experience.
