Overview

The Operations Analyst-Climate and Sustainable Finance Analyst will provide analytical, operational, and coordination support within the Climate Department, focusing on climate and sustainable finance solutions.


Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct industry, market, project, and institutional research.
  • Analyze economic, financial, technical, and portfolio data.
  • Support team workstreams and WBG operations on Paris Alignment, climate co-benefits, sustainable finance, adaptation and resilience, climate risk, and related topics.
  • Support GHG accounting and climate outcomes metrics.
  • Prepare briefs, presentations, reports, guidance, checklists, training and knowledge materials, and communications.
  • Support practical tools, dashboards, data systems, workflow improvements, automation, and AI-enabled solutions.
  • Provide project-management and internal delivery support.
Required Experience

A minimum of two years of relevant professional experience.

Qualifications

Master’s degree in finance, economics, business, public policy, international development, engineering, data analytics, environmental science, or a related field.

Strong written and oral communication skills in English.
Languages Preferred
Additional language(s) desirable. Familiarity with one or more areas relevant to the unit, such as Paris Alignment, climate finance, sustainable finance, adaptation and resilience, GHG accounting, or climate outcome metrics, is desirable. Knowledge of, or experience with, GHG protocols, Scope-1 to 3 emissions calculation systems, and emissions databases shall be preferred.
