Overview
Provide reliable and secure driving services for authorized personnel and the transport of items. Ensure vehicle maintenance and adherence to traffic regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive office vehicles for personnel transport and delivery/collection of mail and documents.
- Meet and assist official personnel and visitors at the airport.
- Check vehicle documents, insurance, logs, and supplies.
- Log official trips, mileage, and fuel consumption.
- Perform day-to-day maintenance and arrange for major repairs.
- Ensure driving license validity and adherence to traffic code.
- Take security precautions for the vehicle and its contents.
- Ensure GPS and tracking devices are operational.
- Report incidents/accidents as per regulations.
- Perform messenger duties including handling mail, documents, and goods.
Required Experience
Minimum one year of work experience as a driver with a safe driving record. Experience in driving within WHO or another United Nations agency would be an asset.
Qualifications
Secondary, technical, or commercial school and a valid driving license. Basic mechanics' certificate and first aid training are desirable.
