Overview
Lead the HR and Admin team in Sudan, overseeing recruitment, staff management, and compliance with NRC policies and national laws.
Key Responsibilities
- Line management of reporting staff, including performance management and goal setting.
- Oversee workforce planning, recruitment, staff induction, and development.
- Ensure compliance with NRC policies, handbooks, guidelines, and national laws.
- Provide technical support and capacity building for staff.
- Monitor team activities and ensure implementation according to standards.
- Implement complex systems and procedures.
- Assess and promote ideas for technical improvement.
- Implement and train staff on NRC HR policies and procedures.
- Promote the rights of internally displaced/returnees.
- Actively promote PSEA standards & principles.
- Advise line managers and staff on HR policies and procedures.
- Manage national staff recruitments in west and central Darfur.
- Ensure NRC People tool is updated.
- Responsible for onboarding new staff in west and central Darfur.
- Ensure good data management of staff in west and central Darfur.
- Disseminate HR information and messages.
- Provide advice on work and development plans and performance management.
- Complete HR induction for national staff.
- Ensure proper filing of staff documentation.
- Ensure leave tracking and attendance system monitoring.
- Prepare and check payroll.
- Support with fact-finding and disciplinary processes.
- Manage premises, offices, and guest houses, including rent payments and landlord issues.
- Check health and safety standards of offices & guest houses.
- Supervise premises staff, cleaning, maintenance, and repairs.
- Process payments for utilities and ensure functioning office equipment.
- Arrange accommodation for visitors and staff.
- Maintain incentive worker records.
- Facilitate and advise staff on local medical insurance and reimbursement.
Required Experience
- Experience working in HR in a Humanitarian/Recovery context.
- Previous experience working in complex and volatile contexts in Humanitarian organizations.
- Minimum 3 or 4 years of experience in a similar HR role in Humanitarian organizations.
- Extensive experience working with HR online systems.
- Proven experience in interviewing at all levels.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in HR or business management.
