Overview

The Administration and Finance Analyst will be responsible for the day-to-day financial management, administration, and operational support of the project, ensuring effective and transparent utilization of financial resources and compliance with UNDP rules and regulations.


Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the day-to-day financial operations, processing payments, maintaining expenditure control, monitoring budgets and expenditures, conducting financial analysis, preparing financial statements and reports, supporting audits, and conducting field visits for financial compliance.
  • Prepare, monitor, and revise programme budgets, implement cost recovery mechanisms, maintain internal controls, analyze budget delivery, prepare budget reviews and forecasts, monitor donor contributions, and finalize financial sections of progress reports.
  • Manage bank transfers, cash receipts, petty cash, and maintain a filing system for finance records.
  • Support the development of partnerships, capacity development, and knowledge sharing.
  • Conduct training on financial management and oversight.
  • Ensure effective administration and operational management, coordinating procurement, recruitment, travel, meetings, workshops, and field missions.
  • Maintain project asset and inventory records, ensure records management, monitor contract validity, and support project closure activities.
  • Integrate environmental sustainability, accessibility, safeguarding, and GESI considerations into project operations.
  • Mainstream GESI in budget, AWP, procurement, and HR plans, promote gender equality and social inclusion, apply Do No Harm principles, and assist in collecting gender-disaggregated data.
Required Experience

A first-level university degree (bachelor’s degree) in Finance and/or Accounting in combination with an additional two years of qualifying experience is required. Applicants with master’s degree (or equivalent) in a relevant field of study are not required to have professional work experience. Experience managing donor-funded projects, supporting audits, financial reporting, budget preparation, monitoring, cash flow forecasting, expenditure analysis, coordinating administrative and operational activities, organizing workshops/meetings/trainings/conferences/field missions, coordinating travel arrangements, logistics, accommodation, event management, understanding of Gender Equality and Social Inclusion, usage of computers and office software packages, working with multi-cultured groups in high-pressure environments, dealing with client relationships, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations, internal control procedures, and audit standards.

Qualifications

A professional accounting qualification from an internationally accredited institute of accountancy, and/or Advanced (master’s) University Degree in Finance and/or Accounting is required. A first-level university degree (bachelor’s degree) in Finance and/or Accounting in combination with an additional two years of qualifying experience will be given due consideration in lieu of the advanced university degree.
