Overview

Assists in the development and implementation of project activities, performs administrative tasks, and maintains relations with project stakeholders.


Key Responsibilities
  • Assists in the development and implementation of project activities by liaising with counterparts and facilitating their participation.
  • Drafts terms of reference for the employment of consultants and implementing partners.
  • Monitors the implementation of activities and submission of reports by implementing partners and consultants.
  • Performs administrative tasks such as scheduling meetings and events, reservations, budget follow-up, and research.
  • Prepares requests/documents including requisitions, travel requests/authorizations, expenditure authorizations, and visa applications.
  • Initiates and follows up on actions related to requisitions, recruitment of consultants, training and study tours, purchase of services and goods, payments, and travel authorizations.
  • Keeps track of pending matters and follows up with other offices on deadlines, budget, and expenditures.
  • Provides estimates of costs for individual project activities and proposes budgetary/expenditure adjustments.
  • Assists in establishing and maintaining relations with project stakeholders.
  • Ensures co-ordination and planning of project activities with relevant partners.
  • Performs other duties as assigned in support of the EED portfolio.
Required Experience

A minimum of five (5) years’ work experience in project administration. Experience in project planning, implementation and reporting. Experience with website content management systems, online platforms or digital communication tools would be considered a strong asset.

Qualifications

Completed secondary education; a relevant specialized training in project management, IT or administration is desirable; for posts in the General Service category, a university degree may be considered as a substitute for one year of work experience, and a second-level university degree for two years of work experience.

Remuneration
Monthly remuneration, subject to social security deduction, is USD 1190.00 as per the relevant OSCE salary scale. Appointments are normally made at Step 1 of the applicable OSCE salary scale. In exceptional cases, an initial appointment at up to Step 3 may be considered.
