Overview

The Information Technology and Management Intern will support the implementation of the Global Partnership on Plastic Pollution and Marine Litter's work and the management of the Global Plastics Hub.


Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with plastic lifecycle data analysis, identifying new datasets and recommending optimal approaches for data integration and visualization.
  • Assist in the optimization and migration of the Global Plastics Hub by learning its architecture and codebase, cleaning outdated data and content, and providing technical assistance.
  • Assist in enhancing the Global Plastics Hub by identifying and resolving bugs and improving functionalities.
  • Assist in monitoring user engagement and conducting user data analysis to improve GPML outreach activities.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology or a closely related field is required.
  • Master’s degree in a related field is desirable.

Languages Required
fluency in English is required.
Languages Preferred
Knowledge of another official United Nations language is an advantage.
