Overview

The Communications and Reporting Analyst will be responsible for designing and implementing a comprehensive communications and visibility strategy to showcase project results and innovations. The role involves developing communication materials, coordinating outreach, and ensuring alignment with branding requirements.


Key Responsibilities
  • Finalize, implement, and update a communications and visibility strategy aligned with UNDP standards.
  • Ensure coverage of all project components and integration of GESI and safeguards dimensions.
  • Produce high-quality materials, including press releases, newsletters, infographics, reports, case studies, photo essays, and short videos.
  • Oversee the design, layout, and production of communication outputs, ensuring adherence to UN editorial and branding guidelines.
  • Maintain a digital library of media, photographs, and knowledge products.
  • Track communication outputs, media coverage, and audience engagement.
  • Provide quarterly updates and inputs to project progress reports, highlighting communication milestones and results.
  • Recommend adjustments to enhance visibility, outreach, and impact.
  • Integrate GESI principles in all planning, implementation, and monitoring processes to ensure equitable participation and benefits for women, men, persons with disabilities, and marginalized groups.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with national and international media outlets, journalists, and influencers to raise awareness of project outcomes.
  • Facilitate media coverage of key milestones, site visits, and events related to UNDP projects.
  • Provide technical guidance and capacity building to staff, partners, and stakeholders on applying gender and social inclusion approaches in project interventions.
  • Document project progress, achievements, and lessons learned through accessible communication formats.
  • Translate technical findings into clear and engaging knowledge products for diverse audiences, including policymakers, communities, and global partners.
  • Contribute to South-South exchanges by preparing content for UNDP, and donor platforms.
  • Collect, analyze, and report disaggregated data (by sex, age, disability, and other relevant factors) to identify gaps and recommend strategies for inclusive programming.
  • Organize public events, workshops, and campaigns to showcase project achievements.
  • Provide communication support for donor engagement, joint monitoring missions, and stakeholder consultations.
  • Ensure advocacy efforts highlight the inclusion of vulnerable groups, and sustainable development linkages.
  • Maintain close collaboration with UNDP, government counterparts, and partner institutions’ communication focal points.
  • Ensure consistency of project messaging across all channels and partners.
  • Support resource mobilization by producing compelling content for partners and donors.
  • Ensure GESI priorities to promote coherence, accountability, and consistency in messaging and implementation.
Required Experience

Applicants with a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) are required to have a minimum of two (2) years of working experience in communication and reporting.

Qualifications

Advanced University Degree (Master´s degree or equivalent) in Communication, Journalism, Media Relations, External Relations, Public Affairs, International Development, Social Sciences, or other relevant area is required. Or A first-level university degree (bachelor’s degree) in the above-mentioned fields in combination with additional 2 years of relevant experience will be given due consideration in lieu of master’s degree.
