Overview
The Program Assistant will provide administrative, operational, and program support to the Country Management Unit (CMU) in Amman, Jordan, ensuring the effective implementation of the World Bank's program.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate with government authorities and external stakeholders for administrative and operational requirements.
- Serve as the administrative focal point for Country Office operations.
- Build and maintain relationships with government counterparts, clients, and service providers.
- Coordinate administrative arrangements for visiting missions.
- Manage office logistics and recommend process improvements.
- Support newly appointed staff and consultants with onboarding.
- Coordinate logistics and administrative arrangements for high-level visits, meetings, workshops, conferences, and events.
- Cross-train with administrative colleagues for business continuity.
- Provide quality control of internal and external documents.
- Draft, edit, format, and produce correspondence, reports, presentations, and other documents.
- Manage complex calendars and schedules.
- Research and respond to administrative inquiries.
- Organize meetings, workshops, conferences, and events.
- Coordinate travel arrangements and mission logistics for staff and consultants.
- Assist in coordinating mission agendas and provide logistical support for visiting teams.
- Maintain current distribution lists, contact databases, project files, and administrative records.
- Generate administrative and operational reports.
- Collaborate effectively with Country Office colleagues.
- Provide backup support to other administrative staff and perform additional duties.
Required Experience
Minimum of 2-5 years of relevant experience.
Qualifications
Minimum education: Bachelor’s degree
