Overview
Consultant to develop a General Comment on the child's right to adequate nutrition and safe drinking water, elaborating on Article 14(2)(c) of the African Children’s Charter.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare inception report and a draft outline of the General Comment and present it to the ACERWC and their partners.
- Facilitate consultations with key informants and children/young people, synthesize findings, and develop a first draft of the General Comment, based on the agreed outline; collect input and develop a second draft for presentation to ACERWC and their partners.
- Participate in the ACERWC Sessions, coordination, planning, consultation, and validation meetings, as required.
- Develop the final draft of the General Comment based on inputs, and revise it based on inputs, for adoption by ACERWC.
