Overview

Support the identification, collection, and analysis of information on forest financing to update databases and assist with other forest financing-related activities.


Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct desk research and collect information on forest financing opportunities, learning materials and good practices.
  • Assist in organizing collected information and updating websites.
  • Prepare written input for webpages.
  • Conduct desk research on modalities and functionality of global hubs.
  • Develop knowledge summaries on forest financing topics.
  • Assist in setting up, uploading, or maintaining the Clearing House website.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Experience

Applicants should have a basic understanding of development financing concepts and instruments, such as grants, concessional loans, debt, guarantees, and blended finance. The internship requires ability to conduct independent research to identify financing opportunities from publicly available sources and prepare concise summaries.

Qualifications

Applicants must be a student in the final year of the first university degree (bachelor or equivalent), Master’s or Ph.D. Programme or equivalent, or have completed a Bachelor’s, Master’s or PH.D. Programme.

Languages Required
Fluency in spoken and written English is required for the internship.
Languages Preferred
Knowledge of an additional official UN language is an advantage.

Remuneration
Interns are not financially remunerated by the United Nations. Costs and arrangements for travel, visas, accommodation and living expenses are the responsibility of interns or their sponsoring institutions.
