Overview

The Projects Coordinator will manage a designated project and/or thematic portfolio within the Energy and Environment Unit, ensuring results align with project documents and UNDP procedures. The role involves supervising projects, providing technical coordination, developing work plans, and monitoring progress.


Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate projects, ensuring results align with Project Documents and UNDP POPP.
  • Provide technical coordination and strategic guidance for the assigned thematic portfolio.
  • Develop Annual Work Plans and support Project Board decision-making.
  • Coordinate project exit strategies and ensure closure per procedures.
  • Develop and implement M&E plans, monitor project implementation, and prepare reports.
  • Oversee financial monitoring and maintain risk and issue logs.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to maximize impact and mobilize new partnerships.
  • Facilitate knowledge and capacity building, knowledge sharing, and advocacy.
Required Experience

Minimum 2 years (with master’s degree) or 4 years (with bachelor’s degree) of relevant experience at the national or international level in providing management advisory services, and/or hands-on experience in design, monitoring and evaluation, leading and managing development projects.

Qualifications

Advanced university degree (Master's degree or equivalent) in Environmental Sciences, Earth Sciences, Natural Resources Management, Geology, Mining, Metallurgy, Economics, Social Sciences or other related sciences is required; OR A first-level university degree (Bachelor’s degree) in the areas mentioned above with additional 2 years of relevant experience.
