Overview
Senior WASH Manager responsible for leading the achievement of improved access to safe water and improved sanitation and hygiene practices. Ensures knowledge of government orientations, policies, and donor priorities in water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH).
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the achievement of improved access to safe water and improved sanitation and hygiene practices.
- Ensure knowledge of government orientations, policies, and donor priorities in WASH.
- Facilitate advocacy at local and national levels for WASH objectives.
- Integrate WASH into ADP development programs.
- Ensure alignment of WASH programs with high-level Partnership initiatives.
- Ensure cross-functional collaboration.
- Lead monitoring and evaluation of the NI-WASH program and all WASH projects.
- Track field implementation of recognized WASH approaches.
- Develop or adapt and disseminate diagnostic, analysis, and reporting tools.
- Develop innovative approaches to monitor performance and effectiveness.
- Ensure all WASH data and information are aggregated, processed, and analyzed.
- Communicate program quality issues to management and colleagues.
- Submit monthly, semi-annual, and annual reports for the NI WASH program.
- Provide clear and accurate reports to donors.
- Contribute to the preparation and writing of annual reports.
- Provide regular technical support to WASH program field staff.
- Facilitate the introduction and adoption of innovative practices, methodologies, and approaches.
- Identify new training needs in WASH.
- Establish strategic contacts and relationships with potential donors and partners.
- Maintain an update on donor and partner priorities and interventions in WASH.
- Contribute to the identification, assessment, and design of grant project proposals.
- Design and implement a pre-positioning plan with key WASH sector donors.
- Ensure technical and high-quality standards in WASH grant project implementation.
- Represent World Vision Niger at the WASH cluster of UN agencies and partners.
- Ensure WASH facilitators and managers/coordinators participate in WASH working group meetings.
Required Experience
At least 5 (five) to 10 (ten) years of professional experience in a WASH program/project.
Qualifications
Master's degree in hydraulics, hydrogeology, civil engineering, sanitary engineering, or related discipline.
