Overview

Support the coordination, communications, and reporting activities for the WYDE Women's Leadership programme.


Key Responsibilities
  • Support the development of advocacy and communications materials, including social media assets and knowledge management documents.
  • Assist in the coordination of events and activities.
  • Monitor and amplify partners' communications and advocacy activities.
  • Draft stories and articles.
  • Collect and archive audio-visual products.
  • Support the elaboration of audio-visual products.
  • Support programme events and activities.
  • Maintain data related to funded civil society and women’s rights organizations.
  • Review reports to extract key results and achievements.
  • Process reports through internal procedures.
  • Engage with funded organizations to document lessons learned.
  • Support preparations for knowledge exchange events.
Required Experience

Some knowledge and/or strong interest in gender equality and women's rights issues; Strong analytical and reporting skills; Communication skills (including social media management); Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with peers, colleagues; Knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 software; Some knowledge on women’s and youth political participation would be an asset; Knowledge and understanding of UN system and familiarity with inter-governmental processes an asset; Understanding of EU institutions would be an asset.

Qualifications

University studies in international relations, social studies, development studies or other relevant subjects is required. Meet one of the following: Be enrolled in a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher); Be enrolled in the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum Bachelor's level or equivalent); Have graduated with a university degree and, if selected, must commence the internship within a two-year period of graduation; or Be enrolled in a postgraduate professional traineeship program which is part of a degree programme and undertake the internship as part of the program requirements.

Remuneration
Interns who are not in receipt of financial support from other sources such as universities or other institutions will receive a stipend from UN Women to partially subsidize their basic living costs for the duration of the internship.
