Overview
The Digital Economies Analyst supports the implementation and coordination of digital payments initiatives and broader blockchain-enabled development solutions within the UNDP Istanbul Regional Hub.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide operational support to UNDP Country Offices on digital payment pilots.
- Coordinate with solution makers, country office teams, and government actors.
- Track pilot project progress, identifying risks and escalating issues.
- Identify and assess suitability for replication of validated models in additional UNDP Country Offices.
- Develop replication packages and enable knowledge exchange.
- Coordinate applied research on blockchain-enabled digital economies and digital payment solutions.
- Oversee research ethics and compliance with UNDP data governance standards.
- Lead impact assessment, measuring outputs against SDG targets.
- Identify UN programmes or country initiatives that can pilot blockchain solutions.
- Contribute to the co-creation of the curriculum for Cohort 3 of the SDG Blockchain Accelerator.
- Support the participant selection process and matchmaking between country offices and blockchain solution makers.
- Serve as the main focal point for matched teams, providing guidance and troubleshooting.
- Collect lessons learned, best practices, and recommendations for future cohorts.
- Identify and promote systems for content management, knowledge management, and sharing.
- Organize training for on ICT issues.
- Synthesize lessons learned and best practices linked to ICT management.
- Provide contributions to knowledge networks and communities of practice.
Required Experience
Applicants with a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) are required to have a minimum of two (2) years of relevant professional experience in Financial technologies.
Qualifications
Advanced university degree (master's degree or equivalent) in Business Administration, Public Administration, Economics, Political Sciences, Social Sciences, Health Science or related field is required, or A first-level university degree (bachelor’s degree) in the areas mentioned above in combination with an additional two years of qualifying experience.
