The Project Coordinator will lead the implementation of the SENBIOSIS project and support broader programme portfolio coordination and resource mobilization within the UNDP Solomon Islands Office. The role contributes to achieving national climate and development priorities, strengthening partnerships, and identifying funding opportunities.
Minimum 2 years (with master’s degree) or 4 years (with bachelor’s degree) of progressively responsible experience in climate change-related projects involving the coordination of complex development programmes with multiple stakeholders, consultants, partners and donors. The experience should include programme and portfolio analysis, resource mobilization in sectors such as agriculture, livestock, natural resources management and renewable energy. Proven experience coordinating and supervising multidisciplinary teams across different thematic areas, ensuring effective planning, timely delivery of outputs, quality assurance, and performance monitoring; Experience coordinated integrated development projects involving multiple partners and technical experts in the sector of agriculture/livestock, natural resources management and renewable energy; Strong ability to organize and facilitate workshops, working groups, high-level meetings, and consultations involving government institutions, UN agencies, civil society, private sector actors, and community representatives; Experience collaborating with public institutions, including ministries and government agencies, as well as producing high-quality analytical and strategic reports (e.g., mission reports, donor briefs, concept notes, and policy documents).
Advanced university degree (master's degree or equivalent) in Engineering, Economics, Agriculture, International Development, Environment, Social Sciences or related field is required, or A first-level university degree (bachelor’s degree) in the above fields in combination with an additional two years of qualifying experience will be given due consideration in lieu of the advanced university degree.
