Overview
The consultant will produce audiovisual materials documenting and disseminating key components of the "Weaving the city: planning with a participatory approach" project, supporting UN-Habitat's mandate in Brazil.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, record, and produce audiovisual content including interviews, institutional footage, and events.
- Edit video and audio materials, including color correction, sound adjustment, subtitling, and formatting.
- Conduct interviews with project stakeholders.
- Capture supporting footage (B-roll) and complementary visual materials.
- Ensure the technical and narrative quality of all audiovisual materials.
- Organize and maintain a structured archive of all recorded audiovisual materials.
- Ensure all stages of audiovisual production, including pre-production, filming, editing, and post-production.
- Deliver an audiovisual production plan.
- Produce a series of five short audiovisual videos featuring the Municipal Cemetery of Juiz de Fora.
- Produce a mini documentary on the Municipal Cemetery of Juiz de Fora.
- Produce an institutional video on the tourist, historical, and cultural route.
Required Experience
- A minimum of three (3) years of professional experience in video editing and audiovisual production is required, with a portfolio provided upon request.
- Experience in the production of documentaries is required.
- Experience in audiovisual storytelling related to gender issues is required.
- Experience in audiovisual storytelling related to public interest agendas, such as urban issues, diversity, social participation, or community-based initiatives in Brazil, is desirable.
- Experience related to the UN and/or any other international agency is desirable.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Communications, Photography, Journalism, Marketing, Public Relations, Film Studies or related fields is required, or additional three (3) years of relevant experience to the post, beyond the requirement.
