Overview

Serve as a regional technical focal point for Strategic Workforce Planning and Organizational Alignment Reviews, supporting Country Offices in the assigned region. The role involves conducting workforce analysis, developing organizational design options, and supporting the implementation of workforce plans.


Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as regional technical focal point for Strategic Workforce Planning and Organizational Alignment Reviews.
  • Conduct workforce analysis using available data, systems and stakeholder inputs.
  • Analyse Country Office organizational set-ups, structures and workforce composition, and develop organizational design options.
  • Translate analysis into clear insights and practical recommendations.
  • Support the development of workforce plans and organizational design options.
  • Facilitate engagement with Country Offices, Regional Offices, HQ, HR colleagues and functional experts.
  • Coordinate the collection, validation and presentation of workforce data.
  • Monitor the implementation of workforce plans and structural review recommendations.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of SWP practice across WFP.
  • Work collaboratively as part of the SWP team.
  • Perform other related duties as required.
Required Experience

Minimum 5 years of experience in HR management, of which at least 3 in Strategic Workforce Planning, Organizational Design or HR consulting. At least 3 years of international experience either working abroad or in an international environment, as part of a multicultural team.

Qualifications

Advanced university degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Organizational Psychology, Business or Public Administration, Economics, Data Analytics, Social Sciences or another relevant field. A first-level university degree with additional relevant experience.

Languages Required
Excellent command of English, fluency (level C) in oral and written English, is essential. For the Panama-based position, fluency in Spanish is required.
Languages Preferred
Knowledge of another UN language is an asset.
