Overview
The IT Operations Assistant will support the implementation and day-to-day delivery of ICT services for WFP's expanding presence in the Pacific. The role involves providing technical support, assisting with ICT infrastructure, and ensuring reliable connectivity.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out system maintenance tasks, including monitoring, diagnostics, and optimization.
- Maintain technology through standard repairs, configuration, and storage.
- Log, prioritize, track, and resolve IT support requests.
- Provide standard training to end users.
- Perform routine hardware and software testing.
- Maintain information records such as asset and IT equipment inventory databases.
- Support the development of standard training and onboarding documentation.
- Suggest improvements to IT service methods and processes.
- Follow emergency response processes and procedures.
Required Experience
At least 5 years of experience in information technology support, telecommunications, network administration, helpdesk services, or a related field.
Qualifications
Completion of secondary school education. A post-secondary certificate in the related functional area is desirable, in Information Technology or other related technical fields.
