Overview

The Monitoring Officer will support the accomplishment of stated key end-results by providing expertise in conducting monitoring visits to UNICEF project sites, assessing local conditions, and monitoring UNICEF inputs. The role also supports information/data collection, statistics, data analysis, and quality assurance of reports.


Key Responsibilities
  • Support systematic monitoring of UNICEF-supported programmes.
  • Provide support for timely data collection, analysis, and availability of data.
  • Support in the effective utilization and roll out of monitoring systems.
  • Support quality assurance of monitoring reports.
  • Coordinate and follow up with Field Offices and Third-Party Monitoring teams.
  • Provide support and strengthen UNICEF’s technical leadership in generating information on affected populations.
  • Support in maintaining or further developing dashboards/Analytics.
  • Conduct training sessions for UNICEF staff and partners on PM&E tools and systems.
  • Perform any other related duties and responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor.
Required Experience
  • 3-5 years of proven experience in program monitoring, and/or data management/analysis.
  • Experience working in complex and challenging environments.
Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Social sciences, International Development and Humanitarian studies, Development studies, Economics, Public Policy and administration, Statistics and data science, computer science/IT, Information Management and Geographical Information Systems (GIS) or other related fields may be considered if matched with demonstrated experience and analytical skills.
