Overview
Support the Government and UNICEF in strengthening vaccine management, supply chain systems, cold chain performance, and logistics management across all levels of the health system.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor vaccine availability, stock levels, and expiry dates.
- Support vaccine forecasting and quantification exercises.
- Strengthen vaccine and supply accountability mechanisms.
- Support monitoring of cold chain performance and equipment inventories.
- Ensure adherence to vaccine storage, handling, and transportation standards.
- Improve the quality, availability, and use of logistics data.
- Strengthen the utilization of LMIS and eLMIS platforms.
- Produce logistics dashboards and analytical reports.
- Organize and facilitate training activities on vaccine and cold chain management.
- Provide mentoring and coaching to vaccine managers and logisticians.
- Develop and disseminate standard operating procedures and tools.
- Participate in EPI technical working groups and coordination meetings.
- Support logistical planning of immunization campaigns and emergency response operations.
Required Experience
- Minimum three (3) years of relevant professional experience in vaccine management, health logistics, or supply chain management.
- Experience working with immunization programmes is desirable.
- Experience supporting EPI programmes is an asset.
- Experience in vaccination campaigns and emergency response operations is highly desirable.
- Experience working with Ministries of Health and technical partners is an advantage.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Health; Pharmacy; Health Sciences; Logistics; Supply Chain Management; Management; Economics; Or any related field.
- Training in vaccine management, cold chain management, or health logistics is an asset.
