Overview

Support infrastructure activities related to design, supervision, and quality assurance for wastewater infrastructure projects. Provide technical expertise to ensure projects meet required standards within specified constraints.


Key Responsibilities
  • Review and approve infrastructure project design documentation.
  • Facilitate needs assessment, design tender documentation, and manage tender processes.
  • Support project management of works, including energy efficiency and environmental management.
  • Advise on and manage problem resolution for design, materials, or work quality.
  • Ensure compliance with project management rules, regulations, and policies.
  • Oversee contract management, monitoring execution, and facilitating communication.
  • Liaise with contractors, municipalities, and partners.
  • Assist in supervising project design development and construction works.
  • Support on-site monitoring of quality, quantities, costs, schedule, safety, and environment.
  • Report on on-site monitoring and provide early warnings of potential issues.
  • Collect, analyze, and present information for work plans and progress reports.
  • Provide inputs for the project monitoring and evaluation framework.
  • Draft correspondence on project engineering issues.
  • Contribute to knowledge networks and communities of practice.
  • Compile and systematize project knowledge, products, and tools.
Required Experience
  • Minimum 2 years (with master’s degree) or 4 years (with bachelor´s degree) of experience in implementation of infrastructure projects (design, supervision, etc.).
  • Experience in the usage of computers and office software packages (MS Word, Excel, etc.) and use of spreadsheet and database packages, and experience in handling of web-based management systems.
Qualifications

Advanced university degree (master’s degree or equivalent) in Civil Engineering (including water supply and sewerage engineering) or Mechanical Engineering or related field is required or, A first-level university degree (Bachelor´s degree) in the areas mentioned above in combination with additional 2 years of qualifying experience.
