Overview

This role supports the implementation of youth empowerment initiatives, focusing on monitoring, reporting, and strategic partnerships. The purpose is to equip youth with future-ready skills, expand access to education and decent work, and strengthen their participation in decision-making.


Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and provide technical oversight for the monitoring of project activities.
  • Establish, implement, and strengthen reporting mechanisms.
  • Act as the technical focal point for Youth Empowerment, providing strategic guidance and quality assurance.
  • Lead the collection, analysis, and interpretation of project data.
  • Develop high-quality analytical outputs, including dashboards and data visualizations.
  • Coordinate the strategic communication of results.
  • Integrate gender-responsive and inclusive economic, environmental, and social analysis.
  • Oversee the timely documentation of programme results.
  • Ensure and coordinate the implementation of YUMEE, YDEEP, and other youth-related projects.
  • Provide input for evaluations based on donor agreements.
  • Analyze data for evaluation processes.
  • Supervise project team and coordinate with project board and stakeholders.
  • Support mainstreaming youth empowerment within UNDP country office.
  • Provide data and strategic inputs for improving youth empowerment activities.
  • Implement evaluation recommendations.
  • Ensure implementation of gender equality accountability framework and Gender equality Results Based management.
  • Assist in maintaining strategic partnerships with key development partners.
  • Provide support in strengthening cooperation with key stakeholders.
  • Support the communication of the Democratic Governance programme/projects for resource mobilization.
  • Facilitate information sharing and dialogue within the donor community.
  • Contribute to the implementation of Evaluation Knowledge Management and Learning Strategy.
  • Establish and update documentation of research reports, studies and evaluations.
  • Facilitate and participate in results-oriented monitoring and evaluation training efforts.
  • Contribute to the network for youth mainstreaming learning and knowledge sharing.
  • Ensure key programme and project results data and promotional material are available.
Required Experience

Applicants with a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) are required to have a minimum of two (2) years of relevant professional experience in programme/project management in the domains of Youth Entrepreneurship or Youth Upskilling & Reskilling, or Youth on Climate Action.

Qualifications

Advanced university degree (master’s degree or equivalent) in Public Policy, Economics, Finance, International Relations, or other related fields is required; or A first-level university degree (bachelor’s degree) in the areas mentioned above, in combination with two (2) additional years of relevant professional experience.
