Overview
Develop a National Framework for Health Promoting Campuses for Higher and Tertiary Education Institutions in Kenya.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and synthesize relevant global, regional and national frameworks, policies, tools and good practices.
- Facilitate panel discussions and conduct consultative engagements, including Key Informant Interviews (KIIs).
- Develop a draft national Health-Promoting Campuses Framework, including definition, principles, priority domains, standards, roles, responsibilities, implementation pathway, and monitoring mechanisms.
- Develop practical tools to accompany the framework, including an institutional self-assessment instrument.
- Facilitate the national validation forum for the draft framework and revise/finalize the framework and tools.
Required Experience
- At least five years of relevant experience in health promotion, higher education, student health and well-being, institutional systems strengthening or related areas.
- Experience developing national frameworks, policies, guidelines or implementation tools.
- At least 3 years of engagement in higher and tertiary education systems in Kenya or the broader East African region.
- Experience conducting multi-stakeholder consultations and facilitating validation or co-creation processes.
Qualifications
Advanced university degree in public health, health promotion, education, higher education management, social sciences, development studies or a related field.
