Overview

Lead and coordinate communications and visibility work, focusing on content generation, storytelling, and producing high-quality communication materials. The role aims to strengthen external visibility by documenting and translating programme stories into compelling products for various audiences.


Key Responsibilities
  • Engage with programme teams, partners, and communities to identify and gather stories, interviews, photographs, and videos.
  • Develop human-interest stories, case studies, articles, blogs, and short communication pieces.
  • Translate complex programme information into accessible narratives.
  • Design and produce communication materials using Canva and other tools, including newsletters, fact sheets, infographics, and social media content.
  • Develop regular content for digital and social media platforms.
  • Support communication around donor visits, programme launches, and public events.
  • Coordinate visibility requirements for donor-funded programmes.
  • Support rapid communication during humanitarian emergencies.
  • Ensure all communication adheres to safeguarding, consent, data protection, and ethical standards.
  • Act as data rights focal person for ethical information gathering, storage, and usage.
Required Experience

At least 5 years of relevant professional experience in communications, journalism, media, development, or humanitarian communications. Demonstrated experience personally producing communication materials. Experience developing newsletters, infographics, fact sheets, social media materials, and other digital communication products. Experience with photography and basic photo editing. Experience producing or editing short videos. Experience communicating humanitarian response and development programmes. Experience working with local civil society organisations and community-based organisations. Knowledge of the humanitarian and development context in Myanmar.

Qualifications

University degree in Communications, Journalism, Media, Public Relations, Development Studies or another relevant discipline.
