UN Women: Programme Analyst, Yangon, Myanmar, N-PPSA9, National Partner Personnel Service Agreement (2 positions)

Overview

The Programme Analyst contributes to the effective management of CERF funded projects by providing substantive inputs to project design, formulation, implementation, and evaluation. The role guides and facilitates the delivery of UN Women CERF funded projects by monitoring results and ensuring appropriate application of systems and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Contribute technically to the design of humanitarian project strategies and in the area of relief and recovery.
• Provide substantive technical support to the implementation and management of humanitarian projects.
• Provide technical assistance and capacity development to project/programme partners.
• Provide technical inputs to the monitoring and reporting of the programme/ project.
• Provide substantive technical inputs to the management of people and finances of humanitarian projects.
• Provide substantive inputs to building partnerships and resource mobilization strategies.
• Provide technical support to inter-agency coordination on humanitarian programme and projects.
• Provide substantive inputs to advocacy, knowledge building and communication efforts.
• Perform other duties within their functional profile as deemed necessary.

Required Experience

At least 2 years of progressively responsible experience at the national or international level in development programme/project implementation, coordination, monitoring and evaluation, donor reporting and capacity building is required. Experience in gender in humanitarian context is an asset. Experience in the United Nations systems is desirable. Field experience is desirable. Experience in the usage of computers and office software packages (MS Word, Excel, etc.) and spreadsheet and database packages, experience in handling of web-based management systems is required. Experience in the use of a modern web-based ERP System, preferably Oracle Cloud, is desirable.

Qualifications

Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Political or Social Science, International Development Studies, Gender/Women's Studies is required. A first-level university degree in combination with two additional years of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree. A project/programme management certification (such as PMP®, PRINCE2®, or MSP®) would be an added advantage.
