Overview

Consultancy to provide continuous support for screening X-ray of refugees and immigrants within the IOM Health Assessment Programme.


Key Responsibilities
  • Take high-quality chest X-ray images according to IOM and international standards.
  • Explain X-ray procedures to applicants and answer questions.
  • Prepare equipment, examination rooms, and perform ID checking and data entry.
  • Apply proper radiographic techniques and radiation protection procedures.
  • Process digital images, review quality, and report urgent information.
  • Contribute to maintaining high-quality chest X-rays and act as quality assurance focal person.
  • Ensure radiation safety for applicants, staff, and the public.
  • Perform regular quality assurance of CR/DR X-ray machines and report issues.
  • Contact technical service providers for equipment maintenance and repair.
  • Optimize workflow in the Radiology Unit through quality control and SOP improvement.
  • Prepare daily worklists, barcodes, check identities, and upload images.
  • Prepare statistical summary reports and maintain records.
  • Coordinate radiology chest X-ray reading workflow and provide reports to panel physicians.
  • Implement infection control measures and maintain a tidy work environment.
  • Suggest measures to improve quality, speed, or safety of radiological procedures.
  • Perform any other assigned duties.
Required Experience

Three years of working experience in radiography, especially Chest X-Ray, for Bachelor degree holders. Five years of working experience in radiography, especially Chest X-Ray, for diploma holders. Knowledge and experience of radiographic techniques, procedure, radiologic safety, and quality management process. Knowledge on digital machines. Knowledge and experience in radiology information systems and Picture archiving and communication systems. Experience in screening chest X-ray and Health Assessment Programs.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or Diploma from an accredited academic institution in Radiologic Technology in countries where the scope of responsibilities are fulfilled according to national regulations. A valid license to practice Radiography, if applicable.
