Overview
The Supply Chain Services & Relations Analyst supports the Supply Chain Solutions Manager in delivering procurement services to external partners, managing a team and resolving operational issues.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Manager in coordinating the team responsible for delivering supply chain services to external partner entities.
- Support implementation of the Supply Chain Solutions strategy.
- Facilitate the identification and resolution of operational issues related to procurement services provided to external partners.
- Prepare operational reports and participate in business review meetings.
- Identify global and regional trends, opportunities, threats, and risks in Supply Chain.
- Collaborate on operational and financial matters across SCMU and with relevant internal and external stakeholders.
- Drive continuous operational improvement to service delivery.
- Support capacity‑strengthening activities by training Procurement Associates and contributing to knowledge‑sharing.
- Train supply chain professionals and support their development.
- Coach and mentor UNFPA personnel.
- Promote and support UNFPA's supply chain through actively engaging with external partners and industry experts.
- Support an environment for knowledge retention and sharing.
- Support the full range of supply chain management issues.
- Contribute to the awareness of UNFPA’s value proposition and relationships with third-party procurement partners.
- Provide operational data and reporting inputs to inform resource mobilization.
- Contribute to SCMU on the development and implementation of innovative financing mechanisms.
- Contribute to SCMU’s oversight of resource mobilisation proposals.
- Maintain effective collaboration with relevant stakeholders within UNFPA.
- Support relationships with key supply chain partners.
- Represent SCMU and UNFPA in meetings related to operational functions.
Required Experience
- Minimum of two years of relevant experience at the national or international level in supply chain and procurement, marketing, partnerships and/or fundraising, sales and/or marketing, customer service, or related areas preferably for social mission-driven organizations or initiatives is required.
- Experience of at least one year in managing international or in-country procurement and logistics operations in the health area, and/or government customer service and/or donor relations and/or private sector partnerships is an additional asset.
- Proven experience of at least one year in managing people is an additional asset.
- Familiarity with procurement and supply chain operations from UN organizations, public governmental entities and iNGOs is an additional asset.
- Experience working with Google tools and analytical applications, spreadsheets for performance metrics and management reporting, Oracle ERP system, OMS system and issuing Proforma Invoices, database and dashboard development for a variety of audiences and e-filing is an additional asset.
Qualifications
- Advanced university degree required.
- An advanced degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Marketing, International Relations, Development Studies, Social Sciences, Economics, International Commerce, or other related fields is an added advantage.
- A professional Supply Chain Management certification such as Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS) at Level 3 or above Certificate and/or Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT-UK) at Level 3 or above qualification is an asset.
