Overview

Internship to support humanitarian policy and partnerships, including protection policy, interagency coordination, humanitarian diplomacy, and advocacy outreach.


Key Responsibilities
  • Support humanitarian diplomacy and partnership workstreams.
  • Support engagement on humanitarian system reform, interagency coordination, protection policy, humanitarian financing, and principled humanitarian action.
  • Assist in the development and dissemination of internal resources, research, reports, training materials, policies, and advocacy materials.
  • Support aid and foreign policy analysis.
  • Produce presentations and other materials for internal and external communications and training.
  • Attend relevant calls and events, taking and distributing notes.
  • Production of meeting minutes.
  • Support outreach and communication internally and externally.
  • Support the organization of events and workshops.
  • Support in preparing for advocacy or other representation visits.
  • Coordinate and consolidate inputs for internal and external materials.
  • Support the preparation of donor reports and support material for grants.
  • Support the development and use of tracking tools for workplan objectives or other deliverables.
Required Experience

Interest in humanitarian policy or advocacy, with ability to demonstrate familiarity with one or more relevant policy areas a strong advantage.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Science, Law, Communications, International Relations or a relevant field.
  • Only students enrolled in a course of study and pursuing this internship as a mandatory and integral part of a university program provided for under Swiss cantonal or federal legislation are eligible.
