Overview
Seeking experts for a project focused on generating short-term jobs and income opportunities for Syrian refugees and vulnerable Jordanians, while supporting sustainable afforestation measures. The role involves overall project implementation, management, and coordination.
Tasks Summary
- Monitor attendance and compliance of ESS standard
- Process payments for workers (payrolls)
- Identify and assess longer-term income opportunities
- Recruit workers based on transparent selection criteria
- Handle work permit applications for Syrian workers
- Train workers on rights, OHS, grievance, gender
- Provide overall advice to the Ministry of Agriculture
- Manage project implementation and team
- Supervise and coordinate procurement
- Contribute to financial management and assess disbursement claims
- Support MoA in using and managing the Disposition Fund
- Monitor project implementation, financial, progress, performance, and impact
- Represent the consortium and facilitate coordination
- Elaborate regular project reports
- Ensure achievement of Project results
- Support development and update of the Project Operations Manual
- Support design and implementation of Tender Processes
Experience Requirements
- 8 or more years in international cooperation, public management, cash-for-work, payroll management, afforestation or other related sectors
- Up to 4 projects of similar scope and complexity as senior expert showing relevant experience with project implementation and management, financial management, monitoring and reporting, usage and management of a disposition fund
- Up to 1 project of similar scope and complexity showing working experience in Jordan or the region
Qualification Requirements
- Minimum bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in management, public administration, economics, finance, or related discipline (for KE1)
- Minimum bachelor's (or equivalent) degree in social sciences, E&S Sciences, management or related discipline (for KE2)
- Master's degree or above will receive 25% additional points
