Overview

The Programme Associate (School Meals) will provide technical and administrative support in the implementation of the School Meals portfolio, focusing on the enhanced roll-out and scale up of the hot meals' initiative in schools across BARMM.

Tasks Summary
  • Provide project management support to the School Meals team in the implementation of the Home-Grown School Meals programme in BARMM and regional SBFP.
  • Co-develop and implement training modules and capacity strengthening interventions.
  • Provide technical and administrative support to the School Meals team embedded in the Government (MBHTE).
  • Provide administrative support in Field Level Agreement (FLA) and contract management with partners.
  • Support the HGSF PPO in the preparation of rice distribution plans.
  • Act as a point of contact for resolution of operational queries.
  • Build and cultivate strategic relationships at the school and community level.
  • Regularly liaise across functional units to support effective collaboration.
  • Contribute to accurate and timely reporting and documentation of lessons learned.
  • Co-develop and utilize WFP corporate systems and reporting processes to track effectiveness.
  • Provide inputs and support to visibility material and social media content.
  • Perform other related responsibilities and tasks as required.
Experience Requirements
  • At least six (6) years of relevant experience in a unit or department of a public or private sector responsible for project management, coordination, strategic planning, and programme implementation.
  • Demonstrated capacity in working with or supporting government agencies.
  • Familiarity with national policies, strategies, or frameworks related to nutrition, education, public health or other similar sectors.
  • Experience supporting development or humanitarian projects, preferably in food security, public health, or development communication.
Qualification Requirements
  • Completion of secondary education is required.
  • A bachelor’s degree in Development Studies, Nutrition, Public Health, Social Sciences, Communications, or a closely related field is highly desirable and considered an advantage.
Other Details

Languages Required: Excellent knowledge of written and spoken English and Filipino

Languages Preferred: Knowledge on the local language in BARMM is desirable.

Contract Duration: 12 months with possible extension

Remuneration: Remuneration will be in accordance with WFP’s salary scale and will be communicated during the offer stage. Medical coverage, extendable to eligible dependents. Leave benefits and other applicable entitlements.
