Overview
Interns will join the Innovation and Analytics Hub at the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights to strengthen the Organization’s analytical and operational capacities by harnessing advanced data analytics and emerging technologies.
Tasks Summary
- Contribute to organization and facilitation of meetings, outreach, and training workshops
- Contribute to creation of analytics products, slide decks, and background papers
- Assist in monitoring and analysis of strategic initiatives
- Support innovation Community of Practice, communications, and campaign management
- Support resource mobilization through donor research and contact management
- Contribute to planning, design, and execution of digital transformation initiatives
- Assist in development and deployment of data analytics tools and platforms
- Support integration of emerging technologies
- Provide technical support and training on digital tools
- Contribute to collection, compilation, and verification of data
- Develop analytical products, including dashboards and visualizations
- Contribute to development and production of global human rights indicators
- Support dissemination of innovative tools and best practices
- Provide support on information and data management
- Contribute to monitoring, analysis, and reporting on emerging human rights risks
- Support preparation of specialized human rights reports and documentation
- Conduct daily media and open-source monitoring
- Support development of human rights risk assessments and early warning analysis
Experience Requirements
Qualification Requirements
- Enrolled in, or have completed, a graduate school program (second university degree, equivalent or higher such as master's degree or equivalent, Ph.D. or post-graduate degree)
- Enrolled in, or have completed, the final academic year of a first university degree program (minimum bachelor's level or equivalent)
- Studies in fields relevant to workstreams: Strategic Coordination and Planning (Political Science, Communication, Business Management, Public Administration); Digital Transformation and AI (Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science); Data & Analytics (Data Science, Statistics, Social Sciences, Economics, International Development, Geography); Human Rights Risk Analysis and Early Warning (International Relations, Law, Political Science, Social Sciences)
