Overview
Provide legal advice on the review and publication of Notices and Diffusions as part of the Notices and Diffusions Task Force. Conduct legal research and draft legal documents.
Key Responsibilities
- Organize, supervise and provide legal research concerning the review and publication of Notices and Diffusions
- Lead the drafting and review of legal documents related to the publication of Notices and Diffusions
- Lead the drafting and review of communications with member countries
- Organize, supervise and prepare materials for training on the review and publication of Notices and diffusions
- Contribute to and participate in the preparations of internal meetings and meetings with member countries
- Perform any other duties as may be required by the hierarchy
Required Experience
- At least five years of working experience as a lawyer
- Sound knowledge of theoretical and practical aspects of international law, preferably in relation to one or more of the following fields: International cooperation in criminal matters, International criminal law, and International human rights law
Qualifications
- Degree in Law, preferably in international law
- An advanced degree in Public international law or International criminal law would be an asset
